Office of Admissions hours

Monday–Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM
Select Saturdays, 9 AM to noon

Our office is located in 110 McFall Center. The best times to visit are weekdays when classes are in session.

Students requiring special assistance should contact the Office of Admissions toll-free at 1-866-246-6732, two weeks prior to your visit, to make special accommodations.

Visit Options

Group information sessions
Monday–Friday at 10 AM and 1 PM
Select Saturdays at 10 AM

A 45-minute, multi-media presentation in the Office of Admissions.

Student-guided tours
Monday–Friday, 11 AM and 2 PM
Select Saturdays at 11 AM

A 75-minute walking tour with stops in academic buildings, a typical residence hall room and the chance to interact with a current student.

Class visits
On weekdays during fall and spring semesters you can sit in on a college class.

Counselors are available from 8 AM to 5 PM Monday through Friday on a walk-in basis. An appointment is not necessary.

Large Groups
Group visits are designed for high school classes, college access programs, organizations, or businesses whose needs may not be met by our regular schedule of daily tours and admissions events.

Academic department visits
During a weekday visit, you may wish to speak with someone in your area of academic interest. To help you identify the department, please call us toll-free at 1-866-246-6732. We will put you in contact with the department that will assist you in scheduling your appointment. This must be arranged prior to your visit.

Admissions counselor appointment
Although an interview is not required for admission, you may wish to meet with an admissions counselor to have individual questions answered. Please call in advance toll-free 1-866-246-6732 to arrange this appointment.

Athletic coaches visit
Appointments need to be scheduled in advance. Please call the Office of Intercollegiate Athletics at 419-372-2401 to arrange your appointment with a coach.

Plan your visit to coincide with one of BGSU’s many cultural or athletic events. The Office of Admissions can advise you of major events on campus, or you may consult the University Calendar.

How do I
get there?

Where is Bowling Green?

Bowling Green State University is located in Bowling Green, Ohio. It is a two and a half hour drive from Cleveland, about one and a half hours south of Detroit and three hours north of Cincinnati.

Please arrive 30 minutes prior to your appointment or program to allow time to park.


From the east or west via the Ohio Turnpike (I‑80 and I‑90)

Use Exit 64 (Perrysburg). Follow I‑75 South to Exit 181.

From the north or south via Interstate 75

Use Exit 181.

From the east or west via U.S. Route 6

Stay on U.S. 6. At the I‑75 Interchange, follow I‑75 north to the next exit (Exit 181).
