Incoming fall freshmen may be eligible for the University’s Freshman Academic Scholarships ranging from $1,500 to $5,000. The amount awarded is based on cumulative GPA and ACT or SAT test scores.
Use the calculator to find the scholarship amount you are eligible for based on your GPA and test score. You must be an entering fall semester freshman to receive a scholarship award.
The University Honors Program and the Office of Admissions will host a Full Centennial Scholarship Competition for incoming freshmen. The Full Centennial Scholarship is a full-fee scholarship ($9,688 value)* and is renewable.
To apply for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:
Applications will be reviewed after December 1 and selected students will be invited to interview on campus late January. More information is available.
* Value based on 2010-11 academic year general and instructional fees. This scholarship is renewable for three continuous academic years or six semesters if the renewal criteria are met. Transfer students are not eligible for this award. This scholarship will replace any University Academic Scholarship of a lower value awarded by the Office of Admissions.

BGSU Alumni Association scholarships are typically valued at $1,000 and are available to incoming and continuing students. Students do not need to be legacies (having a parent that attended) to be eligible for the awards. Specific eligibility criteria vary for each award. Detailed information on the BGSU Alumni Association scholarship program is available.
The deadline to submit an application and have all admissions credentials complete was December 1, 2011.
Incoming freshman from Wood or Lucas County may apply for a scholarship to cover the cost of books for your freshman year. To qualify, you must be an admitted freshman and live in Wood or Lucas County. The scholarship application and FAFSA must be completed by March 31, 2012. More information is available.
