BGSU Group Visit Request
We extend a warm invitation to you and your group to visit our beautiful, friendly campus at Bowling Green State University.
Group visits are designed for high school classes, college access programs, organizations, or businesses whose needs may not be met by our regular schedule of daily tours and admissions events.
Scheduling
- Groups consisting of students in junior high/middle school and higher are welcome to tour the campus.
- School Counselors are encouraged to select students to attend the visit that have a minimum of a 2.5 GPA.
- Group tour requests can be submitted up to five months, but no later than three weeks, prior to the visit.
- Group visits may be scheduled on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and select Fridays.
- While admissions will work to comply with your requests, some dates (i.e. finals week, spring break, holidays, etc.) may be unavailable. If we cannot arrange a visit for your group on the date you request, we will work to schedule an alternate day to suit your needs.
- Once the visit is scheduled, an agenda and a map for parking will be provided via email.
Additional Requests
A group visit generally includes a admissions information session and walking tour of the campus. Please include any additional requests (seeing a specific building, learning about a specific major/program), on the following form. The general tour route is designed to give visitors an overall view of campus in an allotted time frame.
The Day of your Visit
- BGSU requests a minimum of 1 chaperone per 15 high school students and 1 chaperone per 10 junior high/middle school students.
- Chaperones are responsible for maintaining order within the group and must stay with their group at all times.
- BGSU will expect that your group leader has the necessary emergency contact information for the group’s participants, should any such information be necessary while on campus.
- Students are not permitted to use cell phones, MP3 players, or other electronic devices during the tour or any presentation while on campus.
- Please be on-time for your visit. While BGSU will work to adjust due to unexpected circumstances surrounding your group’s arrival, we cannot guarantee the full BGSU experience if your group does not arrive on time.
- We ask that the group remember that our campus is a place of study and a home to our students. Visitors are asked to respect our students and their living and study spaces.

Current BGSU students are online every Sunday–Thursday from 10 a.m. to midnight and Friday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. EST (except major holidays).
